Two Man Removals
Based in Plymouth, UK, Two Man Removals started as a small man & van operation with two staff members and one van. It was the owner's dream to expand and become one the dominant removal companies in the city. We achieved this goal in less than one year.

The Challenge
When work began with Two Man Removals, the owner Sam and partner Chris were a single man and van outfit with a basic website that was severely underperforming. They had purchased a "cheap website & cheap Google Ads package" from a generic marketing agency who did not specialise in moving industry.

Theirl website was appearing on page 3 for all of their target keywords and the company was spending a lot of money on lead generation campaigns.

The goal for Two Man Removals was growth. Sam saw potential in the local area and wanted to increase market share. Moving away from lead generation companies and creating a lasting business that generates its own leads was a key focus for the company who had aspirations of reaching page one in the Google search results.
The Solution

Brand Refresh
We began by looking at the Two Man Removals brand and their position in the market. They were winning work by competing on price and were active in the low cost man & van segment of the industry.

The goal was to develop a removals business that attracted higher ticket customers. A business that could compete with the companies on page one.

We decided to position Two Man Removals as a mid segment removal company that was reasonably priced but competed on the quality of their work and the brand's personality. We developed a brand that was 'friendly, professional, trusted and down to earth'. Two Man Removals would be a company at the heart of the local sector who engaged with charities and also had a focus on creating a positive impact whereever possible.

Website Redesign
The quality of Two Man Removal's website was holding the business back. Changes needed to be made to convert more customers from their advertising and to improve their search engine rank. We conducted a full redesign optimising the website for user experience, conversions and SEO.
We built a clean, modern site that focussed on trust and promoting quality of the brand. User experience was carefully considered and we optimised the site for conversions by including multiple clear calls to action on every page.

Google Ads
Our strategy was to use Google Ads to scale the business and win more customers while conducting search engine optimisation for the website. Two Man Removals was overly reliant on lead generation companies that were selling the same leads to competitors in the local area. We stopped overpaying for lead generation and used the budget to scale Two Man Removal's Google Ads account.

Their Google Ads account required optimising. It had been running using an outdated single keyword ad group strategy. The advertising headlines were also hyper focussed on local areas that were too niche. Their headlines did not match what local customers were searching for.

We conducted extensive keyword research and built three new campaigns based on three different audience segments that would drive higher ticket customers. We built landing pages that were optimised for keywords and our ad copy. We also optimised our campaigns for the type of conversions that really mattered to the business i.e. calls, bookings and enquiry forms.

Social Media
Ours social media strategy followed three key themes. 1. Engage with the local community and develop a consistent brand presence. 2. Use social media advertising to reach cold, warm and hot audiences. 3. Continually push the brand's personality by posting authentic and personal content. By creating a consistent social media presence we were able to establish Two Man Removals as a leading, go-to brand in the marketplace.
